July 15, (THEWILL) – Lionel Messi’s eagerly awaited MLS debut is on the horizon as his contract with Inter Miami CF was officially confirmed on Saturday.
The Argentine superstar, who celebrated his 36th birthday on June 24, made the announcement on June 7 after departing Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain. Messi’s agreement with Miami will span until the conclusion of the 2025 season and is valued at an impressive $50-60 million annually.
Speaking about the move, Messi said: “I’m very excited to start this next step in my career with Inter Miami and the United States. This is a fantastic opportunity, and together we will continue to build this beautiful project.
