According to reports from Football Insider, Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has expressed his interest in playing under Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.
Martinez, who is from Argentina like Pochettino, is said to be attracted to the idea of working with his fellow countryman.
Pochettino is reportedly impressed with Martinez’s playing style, which aligns with his own pressing tactics.
Chelsea is actively looking to sign a new striker this summer, especially after the departure of Kai Havertz to Arsenal and Romelu Lukaku’s desire to leave the club for Inter on a permanent basis.
Martinez had an impressive season with Inter Milan, scoring 28 goals and providing 11 assists in 57 games across various competitions.
The 25-year-old still has three years remaining on his contract with Inter Milan and is currently valued at €85 million according to Transfermarkt.
