Napoli’s president has dealt a blow to Manchester United’s pursuit of Victor Osimhen by suggesting that he will cost €200 million.
Despite interest from top teams such as United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli’s president believes that only PSG could afford to buy Osimhen this summer.
“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain. If [PSG president] Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200m (£170m/$220m), we wait and we see what happens. I personally think that Victor will stay here,” he told Sport Mediaset.
United had been looking to sign a new striker, with Harry Kane as their preferred option, but have been unable to convince Tottenham to let him leave.
It seems they will face a similar obstacle in their pursuit of Osimhen.
