Steven Gerrard, the former Liverpool legend, has been appointed as the new manager of Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq.
With the goal of challenging for the title in the upcoming season, Gerrard is already planning to bring in several Premier League players during the transfer window.
The Daily Mail reports that he is targeting Jordan Henderson, Philippe Coutinho, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Henderson, who played with Gerrard at Liverpool, may be tempted by a lucrative offer from Al-Ettifaq if he struggles for playing time in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Coutinho, another former teammate of Gerrard’s, has fallen down the pecking order at Aston Villa and could be available for a cut-price deal.
Aubameyang, who had a disappointing season at Chelsea, is also on Gerrard’s list of targets.
Despite initially stating that he would not take up the offer from Al-Ettifaq, Gerrard has signed a two-year contract with the club.
